Located at Yangpu district of Shanghai, KIC is a core development project covering 84 hectares and surrounded by 14 institutions of higher learning. The project actively cooperates with the development strategy of “prospering the city through science and education” proposed by the Shanghai municipal government and is dedicated to providing an excellent environment for promoting enterprise innovation. The project design draws inspiration from the “live, work and play” pattern of U.S. Silicon Valley and Left Bank of Paris, and on the basis of education, science & technology, culture, research & development and entrepreneurship as well as the “three-zone linkage” of parks, campuses and communities to create an innovative knowledge-oriented community that can attract, cultivate and retain talents.
