We fully upgraded the workout experience, developed from over 2 years of extensive testing and iteration.
These bigger/faster/stronger apps will also include:
- A fresher audio-visual experience
- Major performance improvements (no more “loading” issues)
- Hand-crafted workouts from expert trainers (no more algorithms)
- More exercises for FREE (no more premium “expansion packs”)
These changes mark our renewed focus on the self-guided workout apps—they will benefit from increased attention and continuous improvement going forward.
HOLD THE PLANK, CHARLIE!
In order to streamline and simplify our apps, we removed some of the less popular features from our previous app versions. Namely, versions 8.0 will no longer offer:
- Algorithmic workout building
- Workout buddies
- Workout history (initially)
- GAIN Plan (we'll bring this back, but in a different way)
While it’s difficult to cut features, we are confident that this simplification will create a better app experience for GAIN users going forward.
NOTE: You may choose not to upgrade to this version in case you really want to maintain your existing workouts (and not get access to all the amazing, fresh, new workouts and content coming down the pipe). If you go this route, you will no longer be able to generate new workouts or plans, but you WILL be able to access all your existing workouts. It's. Your. Prerogative.

• CUSTOM WORKOUTS: multiple FREE workouts handcrafted by fitness experts. Just use the convenient filters to refine the workouts down to your desired duration, body parts, and fitness level.
• GAIN-GUIDED EXPERIENCE*: Our award winning workout experience coaches you through each exercise, rep, and rest with HD motion images, voice commands, and form cues spoken by a real Pilates instructor.
• PROGRESS TRACKING: Track every set, rep, weight, and rest time. It’s so simple, you may not even notice it.
*Works well with or without headphones (recommended), an armband, a phone stand (recommended), and various workout equipment and phone handling scenarios. It also integrates seamlessly with your music player of choice.
Holly and her team of certified STOTT PILATES instructors designed these programs to specifically target each trimester of pregnancy, as well as postpartum; the app also adapts workouts based on your fitness level and time available. While some exercises require nothing more than your own body and a floor space, many exercises do require a flex band and an exercise ball, so these props are recommended.
