Take on the role of a Virtual Surgeon – You are in control as you perform a tonsillectomy on a patient in this interactive educational game!
One too many sore throats and infections? Then your doctor may recommend a tonsillectomy, the surgical procedure that removes the tonsils, which are found at either side of the back of the mouth. Although their job is to fight infection, sometimes the tonsils become infected themselves, and when this happens frequently, it is best to remove them altogether.
In this interactive surgery you will pull the infected tonsils away from the side of the mouth to expose the connective tissue before using the cauterizing tool and tonsil clamp to remove them and seal off the blood vessels. Finally, you will learn about tonsillectomy recovery. Go ahead and scrub in so we can begin!
