Description
The Quist app displays the events in LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS history that happened on today's date in past years. We're bringing gay history, lesbian history, bisexual history, transgender history, and HIV history to the world to a new way.
Some Quist events are related to the LGBT community’s contributions to society, some illustrate how gender fluidity and same-sex relationships were treated throughout time, and some honor the sacrifices of the LGBTQ people who have advanced the cause.
Each GLBT history event has a description and image along with links to more information, links to related videos, and links to related products (books, CDs, DVDs).
You can sort and search Quist events by country, U.S. state, month and day, year, or keyword.
Quist has been featured on the Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, The List on ABC2, the Michelangelo Signorile Show on Sirius XM Progress, HuffPost Live, Queerty, Towleroad, Joe.My.God., and many more. It has been downloaded 17,000 times in less than a year.
Historical content is now available in the language of the country where it happened (in addition to English).

Awesome content
I love this app's content and all of it's resources and daily information and if you look hard enough there are so many resources. The only thing I have to say is that the app itself is a little outdated and just a tad bit glitchy and that could use some work, but the content is something you cannot find anywhere else.
Update the App
Great information that I'm glad to have in my hands. It's helped me know more about our community and just how far back it goes. Please update the app to look better on newer phones and market the heck out of it. More people need to know about it, especially since so many of us are using our phones for information these days. Having this app in my hands, and receiving notifications everyday, helped reinforce what I had "heard" but wasn't sure - we've existed in all societies forever.
Nice idea if it would work
I downloaded/deleted app twice and it said there was a problem updating. The first time I did not allow location services so the second time I did, but to no avail. Some buttons won’t actuate and other times I circle through the same screens about receiving notifications. I’m glad I didn’t donate a dollar towards the app although I believe that would have been so glitchy it would not have worked anyways. Site had links to some interesting products but then you can navigate back to the site.
