Description

Be sure to check our new game, SimplePlanes. Build airplanes and test them with realistic physics and see how they fly. You can find it on the App Store now or check out the website at http://www.SimplePlanes.com

Design your own rocket ships. Blast off into space. Explore the solar system. See if you have what it takes to be a rocket scientist.

CREATE
Choose and connect parts together to build rocket ships. You can choose from a variety of rocket engines, fuel tanks, and other gizmos. You can even build rovers with powered wheels. You are only limited by your imagination.

EXPLORE
Blast off from any planet you want. You can fly through the intense atmosphere of Venus, or you can take advantage of the low gravity of Mercury. Whip around the sun and launch yourself out to the far reaches of the solar system.

CHALLENGES
Several challenges are built into the game so you can see who can go the fastest, fly the farthest, orbit with the least amount of fuel, land on the moon, and so much more.

ROCKET SCIENCE
Kepler wrote the equations 400 years ago, and SimpleRockets uses those equations to model extremely realistic orbital physics. Players will learn about rocket science and astrodynamics while they are having a blast exploring the solar system. This makes SimpleRockets ideal for the classroom, or as a healthy alternative to the barrage of brainless games available on the App Store.

Hrndiso I ,

Just........WOW!

I like rocket games but hate how simple it they can be. This is the perfect game for the adult engineer. Build a cool multi stage rocket and fly? Can you get much better then that!?! The replay value is endless. I've been making all kinds of cool stuff you can even pretend that you are going thru a roll program. Oh man....it's like they made this game just for me! After I clean the front of my pants I'm going to try the plane game that they have, I already downloaded it but I'm holding off as long as I can because I'm just so into this rocket game right now. To the developers of this game: Games like these should be a staple in the industry, that is; games where a grown up can play with Legos. What I mean is Legos that are a little more advanced. I'm bet your guys could make a sick drag racing game with all the crazy motor mods....with details down to vacuum differences when changing valve angle! Keep up the great work. This game riggidy rules! Miggidy mawfu(k€rs!

The ISS Man ,

Please read

Could you please add dwarf planets and more moons. When building a rocket, could you please add more parts to add a customizable aspect to the game. When launching a rocket the different parts tend to "fray" while flying. I'm currently building the ISS and it has over 30 docks and counting. When I build it the game makes it possible to dock satellites at an angle, over time this makes the space station become curved and wobbly. Could you please make the docks more stiff and add a button that says,"Straighten all dock." When I was trying to land on Smalley's Comet, it said I had an encounter when I really didn't. I think this is a great game. You don't find many game on the AppStore with this capability. I hope you will read these request and take them into your considerations. Thank you.

MAN IN THE M00N ,

Meh

The orbital mechanics are quite fun to mess around with and the spacecraft designs are pretty cool, but one thing I really don't like is how you can't stack certain parts on top of others. For example if you wanted to do an Apollo style mission, you really can't make it realistic because you can't stack a docking port for some reason so you have to put in on the side which makes it look kinda dumb.

Also something that irks me (even though you can't change it) is the 2-D world and how planet rotation is not taken into account because it is a top-view of the S(m)olar System. It also makes it so you have to cram stuff onto your main craft.

You should make it able to have in-line docking ports and plugs as well as being able to put stuff on the outside of the RCS thrusters and solar panels (like struts so it kinda looks like a fairing.) Also some kind of fairing system would be nice to add some type of atmospheric stability and maybe some fins as well so you don't have to use RCS in atmo. I think these should be easy to implement since you can stack other parts in-line and I would really think they would improve the game.

I hope you read this because it would really make this game if these were to be added. Other than the suggestions it is a great game and has the potential to be the Kerbal Space Program IOS equivalent.
