App Description

An anagram is a word, phrase or sentence formed by reordering the letters of another word, phrase or sentence. Anagrams has been used in the time of the ancient Greeks as early as 260 B.C. They were very popular during the Roman era as well as during the middle ages. People have used anagrams as a word game, as clues in crossword puzzles, or as pseudonyms. In fact, several pseudonyms are anagrams of the original name.

In a typical anagram puzzle, one is asked to form a valid word by unscrambling the letters shown to him. For example: RIBDEG can be rearranged to form the word BRIDGE. There are, however, advanced forms of anagram. In one case, one wherein given valid word is asked to be transformed into another valid word by rearranging the letters of the original valid word. The word LISTEN can be rearranged to form another word SILENT. There are also more sophisticated anagrams wherein one is asked to form a sentence by rearranging the letters in a given sentence.
