"Past, Present and Future of IFA"

Welcome to the IFA App, especially made on the occasion of the Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the International Fiscal Association.
IFA was founded in 1938, right before the outbreak of the Second World War. Since then it has played an essential role in the development of various principles of international taxation. IFA. an independent non-profit association, has grown steadily through the years, in membership and in number of Branches across the globe.

On Saturday 2 February 2013, IFA celebrated this remarkable anniversary at the very same place where it was founded, the Peace Palace in The Hague, The Netherlands. A special Jubilee Seminar, Reception and Gala dinner were organized. At the Jubilee Seminar, two broad topics formed the theme of the day: "Development of Tax Systems and Tax Treaties" and "Tax Policy and International Tax Organizations". Both the history and the future of international taxation and the role of IFA were discussed.
