App Description

The Y Kids Marathon event was created to promote fitness amongst today’s youth and generate interest in the sport of running. Participants are encouraged to perform a half hour of exercise on a regular basis and each half hour of exercise is equivalent to one km. Participants accumulate up to 41km prior to race day. Youth can participate in numerous types of exercise such as running, soccer, cross country skiing, basketball or hockey.

This app provides an official "Tracker sheet" to help youth log the amount of exercise they do, the type of activity, and the date. Once the required 41 km of training have been completed, the participant is ready to participate in the Y Kids Marathon on Ottawa Race Weekend.
