What's New

Huge redesign with completely new graphics.

Multiplayer mode can now support up to 5 devices and uses WIFI instead of Bluetooth to connect the devices.

App Description

Grid Lines is a Battleship-style math game used to teach students the coordinate plane by plotting points in all four quadrants.

Players will race (Multiplayer mode using WIFI) or practice (single player mode) in identifying two locations (ordered pairs) on the grid, drawing a straight line from one edge of the gameboard to the other passing through the two locations identified, scoring points for each shape that his or her line touches or through which his or her line passes that are located in all four quadrants of the coordinate grid.

Grid Lines is a math app intended for upper elementary and middle school students that helps students enjoy practicing plotting ordered pairs on a coordinate grid in all four quadrants.

KEY FEATURES:
- Multiplayer Mode (connect up to 5 devices)
- Higher order thinking game (not a drill and kill game)
- Progress reports can be sent to the teacher (making formative assessment easy)

MULTIPLAYER MODE
This hands-on game offers WIFI capabilities which will allow 5 players to compete against each other in the same room on separate devices. The new feature will help parents, teachers, and students play competitively or cooperatively with each other using the iPhone, iPad or iTouch.

"My fifth graders are loving this app. They like trying to figure out how to get the highest score when playing on their own, but once they discovered they could play each other using blue tooth, they were really hooked. I was glad that the app allowed this kind of connectivity in the classroom. All of this energy is resulting in greater fluency in using the coordinate plane. Thank you for creating such an challenging and yet engaging app that also gives a solid learning opportunity."
