Next generation harmonic mixing guidance and digital music navigation system
RekordKrate is primarily for users of Pioneer's CDJ-2000's or 900's & rekordbox software, the main objective being to use of the iPhone's high resolution touch-screen display to make searching your tracks and playlists a much more fluid and enjoyable experience. It also provides a unique Harmonic Track Recommendation engine that shows you all key-matching tracks WITHOUT the need to use maser tempo/keylock. This method provides an entirely different set of results than other software with results spanning 9 different keys. RekordKrate doesn't need the music to be on your iPhone (it requires only a datafile to operate), neither does It play tracks, or mix tracks, it simply provides you with a superior way to navigate your track collection and choose your next track, giving you the confidence to improvise during a live set whilst staying in perfect key. Used at a live gig, this can reduce your stress levels considerably, as you can turn to the app for inspiration, and it's more than possible to put together a whole set on the fly using RekordKrate and sound flawless. It can also be used at home to massively reduce set preparation time for busy djs with tons of digital tracks to go through. Harmonic Mixing is now at your fingertips, with no knowledge of musical theory required - you will wonder how you ever managed without it.
