Spinal cord injury (SCI) occurs when the spinal cord and its nerves are damaged as a result of a trauma or accident. A spinal cord injury can leave an individual with partial or full loss of feeling and movement. Important bodily functions such as temperature control, bladder, bowel, sexual function and blood pressure can be affected. Every injury is different depending on where the damage has occurred.
This App contains detailed information in the form of fact sheets and videos to assist people suffering SCI, their family, carers, friends and clinicians to answer many questions that they may have regarding their injury to achieve independence and life choices.
