App Description
Estimate renal function with the Renal Eval App.
This app has been developed by the clinical pharmacists and nephrologists of Service ICAR and SiteGPR® at the University Hospital of Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, France. It allows you to easily estimate your patients’ renal function (Creatinine clearance or glomerular filtration rate).
The formulae used are those recommended by international agencies and medical societies: Cockcroft-Gault and MDRD.
In one click, the app will calculate the renal function of your patient and will give you 3 results, simultaneously:
-Cockcroft-Gault (in ml/min)
-MDRD (in ml/min/1,73m2)
-MDRD adjusted (in ml/min) with adjustment according to your patient’s body surface
The body mass index (BMI) will also be calculated.
With these results, you will be able to access two other apps: Renal Adapt®, which will help you know whether a medication requires dosage adjustment or not, and Renal Dosage®, which will give you access the adjusted dosages of medications in patients with renal impairment. These recommendations are also elaborated and updated regularly by Service ICAR and SiteGPR® medical and pharmaceutical staff.
