App Description

Psych E/M calculates E/M codes for new and existing patients in outpatient mental health. It can be used in several different ways:
1) Use Psych E/M as a companion to your charting. As you chart, mark the relevant elements in the templates and document them in your chart. When you are finished, use the resulting code for billing.
2) Use it as a learning tool. Play around with the different templates and you will soon see what combinations of selections lead to what codes.
3) Validate codes produced by other software. If you are using electronic health record software that calculates the code from your chart, use Psych E/M to verify that the code your software is producing is correct.
4) Play Psych E/M as a game. It shouldn't be fun, but it is! Watching bars rise and fall as the templates interact to determine the right code teaches you how the codes work and entertains you too!
