Bandish Projekt expresses the musicality of Mayur Narvekar – a composer, producer, DJ, performer and multi-instrumentalist. Mayur, a classical tabla player raised in Ahmedabad by a family of classical musicians and arts enthusiasts, regularly draws upon his Indian musical roots to create indelible sounds. “Bandish” in its Indian classical connotation means "composition", while “Projekt” reflects the experimental nature of the music. The result is a symbiotic conjoining of sounds. Whether it is folk music merged with electronic, or classical Indian ragas entwined into trip hop, Bandish Projekt successfully fuses melodies of yore with IDM (Intelligent dance music).
“Featuring remixes by local and international producers such as Nick Bee, Skope, Sound Avtar and the Memekeeper, Correkt Remixed puts a modern and exciting twist on Bandish Projekt’s 2009 album, Correkt.”
