App Description
The iPad Student Diary App that does so much more!
App4 Students replaces the traditional printed school diary and record book with a modern iPad App. One less book to carry around in a student’s bag, plus the capability for the school or teacher to push out updated information throughout the year are just some of the key benefits of this App. App4 Students is a modern App that goes way beyond the printed page.
Retaining the familiar look and feel of a printed and bound diary, the App’s interface is easy and inviting to use and encourages the student to chronicle their school days by providing for a daily journal entry and photo or image.
Other features include live timetable information, school notices, parent notes (to the school), teacher-set homework and assignments, and homework sign-off for parents. The school can also choose to execute agreement forms that must be signed by the student and/or the parents.
School Info Pages
All the important information normally found at the front of a printed school diary is now found under the Info Tab. Schools can provide and easily update this information through their App4 Schools System via .pdf documents or links to their internal or external web pages.
Help on Hand
The Help Tab provides links to all the help services that a school thinks appropriate for its students. These links can include help with schoolwork, emergency services, or social issues such as reporting bullying. Personal crisis contact numbers provided by the government or the wider community can also be listed here.
School Access
Access to the school’s App4 Schools System server requires password login credentials which are provided by the school. Once connected, student information, timetables and the Info and Help content is automatically synchronized for each student. The App can work “offline” with data being uploaded to the school's server when available.
Note: To obtain full functionality from the App4 Students App, your school needs to be running the App4 Schools System web server. If your school is not using the App4 Schools System yet, a trial server can be arranged for evaluation - revolutionize your printed student's workbook.
