The iPad Student Diary App that does so much more... 

App4 Students replaces the traditional printed school diary and record book with a modern iPad App. One less book to carry around in a student’s bag, plus the capability for the school or teacher to push out updated information throughout the year are just some of the key benefits of this App. At a fraction of the cost of an annually printed student diary, App4 Students is a modern app that goes way beyond the printed page.

Retaining the familiar look and feel of a printed and bound diary, the App’s interface is easy and inviting to use and encourages the student to chronicle their school days by providing for a daily journal entry and photo or image.

Other features include live timetable information, school notices, parent notes (to the school), teacher-set homework and assignments, and homework sign-off for parents. The school can also choose to execute agreement forms that must be signed by the student and/or the parents.

School Info Pages

All the important information normally found up the front of a printed school diary is now found under the Info button. Schools can provide and constantly update this information via .pdf documents or links to their internal or external web pages.

Help on Hand
The Help Tab provides links to all the help services that a school thinks appropriate for its students. These links can include help with schoolwork, emergency services, or social issues such as reporting bullying. Personal crisis contact numbers provided by the government or the wider community can also be listed here.

School Access
By default, App4 Students comes configured to run in Trial mode for “Jimmy” or “Julia”.

Access to the school’s server requires the host server address as provided by the school, together with a student username and password. Once connected, student information, timetables and the Info and Help content is automatically synched for each student. The App can work “offline” with data being uploaded to the school server when available.

School access requires the App4 Software “Backroom” server software to be operating. Information about this can be found at www.app4software.com.au
