“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” That’s what Snow White’s stepmother asks her magic mirror and it answers: “You are very beautiful, but Snow White is the fairest of them all!” The enchanted mirror and the poisoned apple, the wicked stepmother and the seven dwarfs, the huntsman, the wood and, of course, Snow White with her Prince Charming... Another Jekolab project supervised by the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Turin University which combines tradition and innovation in bringing the unequalled fairy stories written by the Brothers Grimm to tablets and smartphones.

Not only storytelling, entertainment and interaction but also the possibility of combining the spoken language and the written text - it's possible to read the text in one language and listen to it at the same time in another – with the option to record the tale and listen to it again in the voice of a parent or use it as a reading exercise for very young children. And plus … little games: help the dwarfs collect the precious stones in the mine! Transform the stepmother into a wicked old woman with a dress, black cloak and hood.
The witch will succeed in her plan and Snow White will bite the poisoned apple … but all fairy stories, as everyone knows, must have a happy ending and the wicked can never triumph. And so, as well as the arrival of the Prince, Jekolab gives the fairy story a surprising new twist at the end.

Jekolab brings to life the characters and the scenes and provides the added value of an interactive fairy story: no longer something just to be read and watched, but capable of stimulating sight, hearing and touch, giving children the chance to really experience and play with the fairy story.

Designed for an age range between four and eight years, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is available both for iPad and for iPhone and iPod touch.
