App Description
KType Free is an assistive communication app for individuals who cannot verbally communicate with ease or speed. KType is built to assist users who find it difficult to control or see keyboard, mouse, or LCD. KType Free uses the CMU/Flite text-to-speech library to talk in real-time as the user types. Please visit the KType website to learn how you can customize KType for your loved one(s) and be sure to watch the demo video at www.ktype.net
The KType app accepts user input via the touchscreen or bluetooth keyboard, speaks in male and female voices, and instantly guesses what the user is trying to type, minimizing the need to spell out each word.
KType can be easily configured to assist individuals with stroke, ALS, muscle spasms, motor tics, and partial paralysis, as well as those who have trouble reading, writing, and spelling.
If you have any questions about using or setting up KType, please contact me directly via the Support page on the KType website.
