That was the first time of Indonesian money been printed and circulated as one of the struggles for independence after proclamation of August 17, 1945.

Moreover, during the time of Indonesianiasion, Kanisius was also gives contribution by publishing Indonesian textbooks. Since that moment, Kanisius was no longer a printing company, but also a publishing company.
