How Cars Work is a simple educational app designed to teach you how cars - that millions of people drive on a daily basis - work. Written by engineering students, this app is targeted at people with any amount of knowledge, including those who are learning for the first time.

• Learn about all the most important systems in modern-day cars including the engine, the transmission system, the braking system and safety features
• Many regularly used terms such as "cat-back" exhaust and "four-pot" callipers are explained
• Aerodynamics and KERS sections explaining basic principles as applied to Formula 1 cars
• Interactive high-resolution CAD renders of what you read to help you understand
• Maintenance Guides section to help you in day-to-day tasks such as checking fluid levels and changing a tire
• Optimised for the Retina iPad and 4-inch devices
• No internet connection required
