App Description

Reaction App is designed to help track athletes improve their muscle memory and reaction time. This is accomplished by providing an audible announcer saying, "Runner take your mark", "Set" followed by a gunshot. When this is heard, the runner takes off from actual running blocks.

When the runner completes the initial launch from the start blocks and tilts their arm in natural form, a timer measures this reaction time and audibly announces your time to avoid having to look at the device on your arm

Alternatively you can also practice anywhere by simply holding the device and tilting it 90 degrees when you hear the gunshot.

The app is designed for track runners who participate in gun triggered events such as 100m dash and others.

While this app is designed with runners in mind, it can be applied to other sports where athletes must be ready to make serious action upon an audible cue.

Through the use of the accelerometer you can evaluate your reaction time through either wearing the device on your arm to fully simulate the starting block effect or hold it in your hand as a reaction trainer on the go.
