This program calculates the minimum shell thickness required at a specific elevation for above ground storage tanks. It uses the formula from the API 653 codebook (sec 126.96.36.199). Stress values for common materials are programed into the formula and adjust automatically for height and associated shell courses. This is a great utility for API inspectors as well as Engineers and Nondestructive Technicians that need to quickly find the thickness requirements for a certain location.
More formulas and calculations will be added to the application in future patches.
