STORIES OVERVIEW:
Journey to the West is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. It is a mythological novel based on many centuries of popular tradition. Journey to the West 2 is the story collection of Journey to the West with Pictures series. There are five stories: Recruiting White Dragon Horse, Recruiting BaJie, Recruiting Sha WuJing, Eating the Babyfruits, and White Bone Demon.

★Recruiting White Dragon Horse: Xuan Zang and Wukong moved on and entered the Eagle’s Sorrow Gorge. White Dragon didn’t recognize Xuan Zang and fought with Wukong intensely. Finally, with the help of Guanyin, Xuan Zang took White Dragon as his apprentice.

★Recruiting BaJie: BaJie, who had been banished to the mortal world, forced Squire Gao’s daughter to marry him. On the way to Gao Village, Wukong defeated BaJie and Xuan Zang recruited him as his second disciple.

★Recruiting Sha WuJing: They came to the Flowing Sands River, and encountered a devil, who was the Curtain-lifting General of the Milky Way, but was exiled to the mortal world. With the help of Guanyin, Xuan Zang recruited Sha WuJing as his third disciple.

★Eating the Babyfruits: Xuan Zang and his disciples reached the Mountain of Infinite Longevity. Wu Kong attacked the Babyfruits tree with his golden staff. Finally he realized his fault and used Guanyin’s dew in her pure bottle to revive the tree.

★White Bone Demon: On the way, they encountered the White Bone Demon, who wanted to eat Tang Seng. But Wu Kong saw through her trick and killed her. Tang Seng thought Wu Kong killed people wantonly and drove him out.
