Love it, but needs a couple of improvements

I do love PicFrame and use it often, but I wish that you could drag photos from one frame to another. Also, when you resize within a frame, it shifts back to the original size/position instead of just letting you make a small adjustment. But otherwise, I do like the simplicity and think it's a great program for a quick collage. (Note, I've only used it on my Mac, not on a phone or iPad, so I can't speak for that.)

First Impressions

I was desperate for a solution to quickly make photo collages. There are a great many apps for Mac OS and IOS out there. I specifically needed a Mac OS solution. I did about 3 hours of research and selected PicFrame.

I have been using it for about an hours making 4 collages. I am very impressed. While the program is not overkill as many other apps try to be, giving you every minute feature, this app simply hits the mark dead on. Incredibly simple while giving you all the needed features and leaving out fluff. I created my first collage in than two minutes, simply dragging and dropping my photos directly from Apple Photos. No need to export first. The pictures are completely repositionable within each frame, you can adjust zoom, and easily change border color. There are a ton of templates and you can change templates without having to reinsert photos. The photos are simply carried over in the new template and you can easily remove them if needed. You can save projects also. Saving a project as a jpg is super simple. Also, the app is dynamic on image placement and will automatically adjust border size in response to your photo placement.

Seropusly the best money I have spent on a Mac OS app in a while. Solved my needs immediately.

Excellent - Basic - Pic Grid Tool

This is not so much a "collage" maker as it is a grid template tool for making simple layouts for multiple pics. It eschews the options like putting bunny ears (or other ridiculous/fancy add-ons) on photos, but seriously, YAY! I just needed to grid some pics for a Christmas card insert, and this app did EXACTLY that. I bought 4 other "paid" apps and they were mostly dreadful/overly complicated.

I will note this, though: at first, I was EXTREMELY frustrated because when I wanted to add pics there was not a "holding area" from which to choose them, and it took FOREVER to open my large Photos library to choose them. But then I made a small folder, dragged it to my Mac desktop and could grab pics one-by-one in seconds. Awesome - easy and FAST.

Bottom Line: This is an excellent photo *GRID* tool; so long as you do not want all the extras, you will be quite happy. Highest recommendation, without reservations.
