The Center for Family Health and Safety at Phoenix Children's Hospital presents the award-winning "Car Seat Helper" mobile app, an easy way to choose and recommend the right car seat for a child. Based on the guidelines published by the American Academy of Pediatrics, this free app is a great resource for parents, healthcare professionals, and caregivers.
APP SUMMARY
Motor vehicle crashes are one of the most common causes of preventable deaths of/in children. Choosing and using the right car seat drastically reduces a child's risk of injury or death.
The Car Seat Helper app is designed to:
- Choose the right seat for your child's age, height and weight
- Provide information about all car seat types
- Find local resources to help you learn how to install your car seat
Other features include links to view official videos from the NHTSA, common terms and definitions, as well as some surprising facts about car seats.
