Museum Planet presents a comprehensive narrated digital tour of the Scuola dei Carmini in Venice, Italy. The tour is better than being there and more comprehensive than any book yet produced.
These scuole (charitable organizations) took care of the sick, the elderly and orphans and were a part of the life of Venice from the 11th Century onwards.
You will see the famous Giambattista Tiepolo murals, the Gregorio Lazzarini wall murals and all the paintings in the Scuola. There is history here: St.Simon Stock for instance. Now the Scuola dei Carmini is a tourist attraction. You will be glad you visited it.
You can stop and start the tour; jump around in it by choosing particular photos; stop it to read the often extensive text, and enlarge all the color photos with a ‘swoosh’ of your fingers.
