App Description

A vivid and colourful game “Odd one out” is sure to arouse interest in your child. Children aged 2-5 years are actively exploring the world and this game can help them to do so. It will teach them how to distinguish one colour from another, an animal from a plant, a fruit from a berry, it will introduce the basic geometric shapes. After completing the game, the child will receive a certificate, which can be printed and hung on the wall or shown to friends. The certificate issued is different depending on the amount of mistakes made by the player, and in order to get the best one the child will want to pass the game again and again, and will become more attentive.

Scientific rationale:
This application is aimed at children aged 2-5 years and is a logical game, based on a world-famous methodology of preschool education, developed by a soviet psychologist A.N. Leontiev together with A.S.Makarenko. They proved that a combination of visual forms of objects presentation together with the possibility to give an answer in a form of pointing (verbal or motor) at an “odd” or “unsuitable” in relation to others object promotes most effectively the formation of associative connections in child’s mind, the development of visual memory and logical way of thinking. Moreover, due to the use of touch screen, the game allows children to use their fingers for control, developing their fine motor skills.
