Ready to learn about your super special eyes??
Intended for ages 4 and up, Lumi’s Book of Eyes is an interactive storybook that follows Lumi on his travels to see various animals from around the world, and learn about the different way we all use our eyes. Along with the additional I Spy an Eye Mini-game, which allows your children to help Lumi determine which pictures are of eyes and which aren’t, Lumi’s Book of Eyes comes with fantastic animations, storytelling, and music throughout!
Originally written by ophthalmologist Dr. Robert Abel Jr., the book provides a fascinating introduction to the eyes of different animals as well as humans. It is aimed at an international audience and features animals from around the world as it discusses the importance of good eye health and the value of eyeglasses. The 16-page interactive storybook can be read to a child, or by the character Lumi, a clever young man from Turkey who acts as our guide, and can read the book aloud to your children, or sit back and listen as you or your children read the story yourselves.
From GiggleApps.com: “This is a cute and fun app for children in general but will be of a special interest for those who wear glasses themselves or are going soon for their first eye exam, something important for all school-age children. Very nice narration and music are included which I have really enjoyed.” – Amy Solomon
From Applicable2u.com:"Regardless of which reading option your little one chooses, Lumi’s Book of Eyes exposes the user to animals as it relates the importance of their eyes and the connection between human eyes with a little twist."
From theiPhoneMom.com: "Lumi’s Book of Eyes has a nice educational aspect to it and it definitely covers a wide range of animals and their eyes.. ..As a mom to two girls who wear glasses I appreciated the positive message this app sends out to eyeglass wearers." - Heather @ theiPhoneMom.com
