Edouard Manet was a French Painter and was born on 25rd January, 1832 and died on 30th April, 1983 and was considered to be one of the first 19th-century artists to approach modern-life subjects, he was a pivotal figure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism.
His early masterworks, "The Luncheon on the Grass" and "Olympia", created lot of controversy and served as rallying points for the young painters who would create Impressionism and Today, they are considered watershed paintings that mark the genesis of modern art.
