Overview:
Lilly Locket doesn’t like talking to strangers. When she and Grammy move from their downtown
apartment to a suburb, her anxiety turns into adventure. She meets her new neighbors,
Mr. Spaloom and Tucker, and learns about perennial gardening, insects, and birds. After
discovering Mr. Spaloom’s secret, she overcomes her fear of talking, just in time to deliver her
science report in front of the whole class. “Becoming” an expert on Mother Nature helps Lilly
overcome her fears and she grows a green thumb.
