Over two decades of pushing the boundaries of music and music technology, Acquaviva has released a steady stream of chart-topping club anthems, setting the mood for a generation of clubbers. International DJ, in-demand remixer and Beatport Music Awards nominee, Olivier Giacomotto is also a chart-topping producer, having no less than eight top-10 techno and tech-house productions in 2010 alone. Acquaviva and Giacomotto regularly appear around the world together presenting Definitive's unique, warm, funk-fuelled tech-house.

What is Remiix?

The concept is simple. Original audio loops from Acquaviva and Giacomotto’s songs are meticulously organized in four groups, or reels. Mix loops from different reels in ANY combination; it’s guaranteed to sound like a professional mix. Tweak the sounds with studio-grade effects to add some subtle flavour or to completely transform the material. A high quality, streamlined, artist-themed interface, including an artist and label info page, adds to the experience.

Create your own mix, for example, by filtering down the vocals from "While My Wiki Gently Leaks", fade in the drum loops from "Black Mamba" and finally drop in a white noise burst from "Gone Hunting". You’ve just remixed two of the hottest DJ-producers on the planet.

A funk-fuelled groove is central to Acquaviva and Giacomotto’s music, accomplished through a focus on percussive elements which stand out in this edition of Remiix. Drum and other percussive loops in separate reels can be combined and layered to create unique grooves that, as Olivier puts it, “make the dancefloor move”!
