The barcodas app scans any ean8/ean13 or upce/upca barcode and turns it into a musical pattern in a user-selectable harmonic scale. Imagine walking into a supermarket filled with thousands of tunes to discover.
As of version 2 Barcodas includes more sounds and gives you the option to add your own using iTunes File Sharing. Barcodas now also sends out MIDI, on your desktop machine open the 'Audio MIDI setup' application. In the MIDI studio click the Network icon and create a new Session (make sure Who may connect to me is set to anyone). Now when you open up Barcodas and scan a barcode it'll appear in the directory list on your Mac. Hit connect and Barcodas will play the barcode via this session as well. You may experience lag on a public network however...
