Bandwidth Calculator is a quick and easy tool to assist you in converting between thoughput units. This is a valuable app to easily understand what speeds you will be getting from your internet connection.
For example, your ISP says you will achieve 30 megabit downloads and 5 megabit uploads. Using this app you can quickly calculate that in terms of kilobytes (the more commonly used unit) you can expect 3750 kilobyte downloads and 625 kilobyte uploads.
Please be aware that in data communications only the metric definition of kilobyte is accurate (1,000). The binary definition (1,024) is used in areas such as data storage but not for expressing bandwidth.
