App Description

The SeismicHaz App determines the seismic hazard of a given site within the continental United States, and in over 100 cities worldwide.

The following is a summary of the SeismicHaz App features:

1) Determines the mapped spectral accelerations of a given site within the US and in over 100 cities worldwide.

2) Determines the site coefficients, MCE spectral accelerations and design spectral accelerations in accordance with IBC and ASCE-7.

3) Determines the Seismic Design Category in accordance with IBC and ASCE-7.

Limitations of this version:

1) For sites within the US, the seismic hazard is based on entered longitude & latitude with one decimal only. No interpolation is performed when two decimals are entered.
