Distortion

The app itself is simple. You click on the application icon in the launchpad and it instantly sends you into a window that uses the camera on your computer as a mirror. there is absolutely nothing else that you can do with this app, and that is not a bad thing. After all, the app is only supposed to be a mirror, and having nothing else is completely fine with me. The inside of the application is just a window filled with the image from the FaceTime camera. However, there are two main things about this app that would make me say “don’t get it.” Firstly, unlike what it says in the app’s description, the windows is not fullscreen. I ran the application on a 2015 MacBook Pro (13-inch) and the window extended down below the dock and the sides of the window did not touch the sides of the screen. Did I also mention that you cannot resize the window at all? Secondly, as the title says, the image is distorted. You look streched out vertically. I have read other reviews of this happening so it most likely happens on all devices able to run this app. That’s all I can really say about this.

Doesn’t work well

On my MacBookPro (Yosemite), this app gives a distorted view — the aspect ratio is wrong, so everything looks compressed along the vertical axis (making everything look taller and thinner than it really is). Flattering for those of us with a few extra pounds, I suppose— but really, this is more like a “funhouse mirror”, than a “make-up mirror”. For an app that claims to be just a “full-screen HD mirror”, and chooses a make-up mirror as the icon, this really misses the mark.

If you are looking for a make-up mirror, don’t bother with this app— use FaceTime or PhotoBooth, both of which you already have, and both of which give you a correct image. If this app fixed the aspect ratio problem, and actually did support full screen mode (properly), then it’d be worth having.

App needs to be updated

I don't think the app's been updated in quite some time. I'm current using OS 10.8, and the image stretches out vertically. The green window button that would normally help resize the window to either fit the screen or bring it back to the last size is disabled, and the corner of the window that might help resize the window appropriately is below the window frame, making it beyond the user's reach.

If these issues get corrected, this app would still be nice to use. Particularly if you can resize the window as needed
