App Description*** ALL CURRENT USERS - PLEASE UPDATE ***
*** CaptureNotes 2 will be submitted to Apple very soon for approval, and it's important that all current users update to v1.2.1 to receive important information about V2.***
CaptureNotes is a great notebook tool for students and professionals to capture the most essential information for later review. With CaptureNotes, you'll be able to record the audio of a lecture while taking typed or handwritten notes. If your style is to intently listen to lectures and take few notes, CaptureNotes has you covered... lock onto the speaker and then place Flags to emphasize the important portions during your Review.
Speaking of Flags, our users LOVE them. When your professor mentions, “by the way, that’s a test question” but you missed writing it down, just insert a Test Question Flag! And if your focus was on duplicating an illustration, and missed what was said, place the Listen Flag... it's that easy!
Your Flags are time-synced to just the right point of the lecture. No searching through hours of audio for 5 minutes of the most important information… just select the Flag and you're there!
CaptureNotes consists of 3 specific areas… Record, Library & Review
The Record mode is where all of your note taking happens. You can record audio, type notes, write notes, draw figures and insert time-synced Flags.
The Library is where you manage your Notebooks and Binders. Think of Notebooks as individual sessions and Binders as collections of Notebooks. You can build out your week’s classes in advance and open each Notebook to start as soon as you walk into class. And if you want to share your Notebooks, you can easily email a PDF version.
The Review mode allows you to select individual Notebooks for review of your audio, notes and Flags. You can easily move between pages, jump to specific parts of audio by selecting the appropriate Flag, and even add to your Notebooks.
Version 1.1 implements many features requested by our users... Taylor85726 asked for compatibility with the Keyboard Dock, so we implemented Portrait Orientation in Record and Review modes. John P emailed that he placed a Flag in a notebook covering typed text... John, now you have the ability to Move and Delete Flags, in both Record and Review modes. Rebecca said she needed to edit her shorthand text while in Review Mode, now she can by selecting the keyboard and choosing the insertion point with CaptureNotes Version 1.1. And the new Audio Controls that were requested provides a complete solution to navigate your audio recordings while in Review mode.
Our team is devoted to providing you with the best note-taking application for the iPad.
We thank all involved for the fantastic feedback, please keep it coming.
