Cool sudoku app!

I like the interface. There are a couple of things I could think of that I would like it to do, like ability to color specific cells and keyboard quicker way to select which numbers are being filtered without clicking on one of them. But I do really like the filter. My vision get strained easily so it is really helpful to click a number and see which cells have those candidates. The bookmark feature is nice and saving your puzzle progress is really easy. The different difficulty levels are cool and you can see which types of techniques are going to be needed at each level. The tutorials are really nice and the hint system is very helpful! I wish you could toggle between several available hints - it basically will only show you one at a time, as far as I can tell, but that’s a minor complaint. I have learned a ton by just looking at the hints. They will start off pretty vague and you can decide whether you want it to get more specific. Overall very pleased with this app and recommend it to anyone who lives sudoku!

Good interface

I've played thousands of games with this app on my MacBook and on my iPhone. Recently I had to put the MacBook in for service and use one that didn't have this app installed. I searched for "best online sudoku" web pages and tried several, and my goodness did I miss this app! Nobody online has the responsive, thoughtful UI of this app. A lot of them don't even adjust pencil marks when you put in a number, just leave the old pencil marks. And you have to use the mouse so much more, they lack the keyboard support, for example to switch between pencil and pen modes. And of course nobody else will enter a puzzle by scanning a photo on your phone.

That said, it would be nice if, when you enter or scan a puzzle, the app would show a rating of its difficulty. "Entered puzzle is a Moderate" or whatever.

Very nice sudoku interface

There are obviously a lot of sudoku games out there. So why should you get this one? I really like the interface. It is easy to play on both my Mac laptop and on my Kindle Fire. It gives me the information I want in trying to solve the puzzle. There are wide range of difficulties of new puzzles available every day. If you want to stick with one difficulty, it will generate new random puzzles for you. But the best thing I like is the hints tutorial interface. If you ask for a hint, it might tell you to look for some technique that you have never heard of. You can then have it teach you how that method works, and go through a very nice tutorial on it. So it teaches you as you go.
