One major improvement in this version. From now, apart from the sound of the word, you will be able to see also its spelling! Tap on any item on the screen, you will see a label with the corresponding word.

Of course you can turn off the labels by pressing the "ab" icon in the lower right corner of the screen. And turn it on again... ;)

Important note for all users of extended content: in some cases it is possible that the content bundles you had purchased for version 2.1 are deleted after upgrading to this version. This is normal, you should re-download the bundles. Re-downloading is FREE, and is done in similar way to the first-time in-app purchase ("Download new courses..."). You WILL NOT be charged again for any bundles you have already purchased and paid for!

This is a new version of Play2Learn Chinese HD, our successful language learning app for kids. Learn Mandarin Chinese, listen, repeat and compare traditional and simplified Chinese!
Choose one, or more extension sets available as direct download from your application - just tap the button in the lower left corner of your iPad. Of course, all the content is available in two dialects of mandarin chinese: traditional and simplified.

Play2Learn is a powerful concept of learning languages designed for children from 3 to 12 years learning foreign languages, as well as for young native speakers eager to play with iPad. Never before learning languages was so simple, amusing and addictive. Interesting and funny illustrated playgrounds and high quality sounds recorded by true native speakers give your child an opportunity to learn the words and pronounce them properly. Simple and self-explanatory interface designed considering manual dexterity of children, allows them to set up the game and play it by themselves without engaging their parents.

Currently play2learn provides two playing modes:

1. “Point & Listen” – tap the object on the screen to hear its name in Chinese and to see the word in writing (traditional / simplified Chinese available). Tap the flag icon at the bottom of the screen to switch between chinese dialects! Can you hear the difference ?

Don't know what to tap ? Use the "Hint" mode to see active items.

2. “Listen & point” – find the object according to what you hear from the speaker. Can you color the whole picture ?
