New! Added a full page Map View, click on the Globe icon in the lower right to see a map of where you are and a red pushpin of your saved location. With this latest update the map now rotates in real time! It will point in the compass direction that your device is pointing, and spin around as you turn. Also the map now auto sizes based on the distance to your saved location!

FEATURES:

Just follow the blue arrow or match the 2 compass numbers and watch the distance count down as you reach your destination. You can also switch to the map view for a full color map showing your current location and a red pin for your saved location.

Similar to expensive GPS backtracking devices sold at many camping stores, for much less money.

Your saved location is stored, even if you accidentally terminate the application, simply restart the app and hit the "GO BACK" button again, and you are on your way.

Note: To get the most accurate GPS fix, use the GPS Accuracy Meter and hit SAVE when the accuracy # is the smallest. If you don't have time to wait for the best accuracy, that is OK, you just might have a less accurate position fix.

This compass + GPS will direct you on a straight line course back to your saved location. As you deviate around obstacles (such as a tree), it will automatically recalculate the new heading and distance (like a car GPS does when you take a new road). It will always point in the correct direction, just make sure you watch where you are walking. Use at your own risk.

Note: The 3G phone does not have a digital compass "magnetometer", that is why this app is 3GS and above only, as this app requires a magnetic compass.

GPS signals are weaker when indoors, outdoor use is recommended, although the unit will work with less accuracy indoors, and may drop the GPS signal if indoors.
