INSTINCT MAGAZINE TACKLES A TABOO WITH THIS ISSUES COVER COUPLE

Instincts annual Health & Fitness Issue takes a different spin this July/August as we refocus on the biggest health crisis affecting our community: HIV/AIDS. And it all starts with our continuing pledge to feature openly gay men on our covers, where this month we find not one but two handsome men who are coming out of a different kind of closet.

Real-life couple Matt Schiermeier and Cameron Earnheart are doing much more than showing off their gorgeous bodies. Inside the new issue of Instinct, the two are also telling readers about their seven-year relationship as a serodiscordant couple. For the very first time since his diagnoses 10 years ago, Matt is speaking publicly about living with HIV, the waters he and his partner have had to (and continue to) navigate as one person is negative while the other is positive, and how his unfortunate choices of the past have made him the man he is proud to be today.

Accompanying our cover story is our mid-year HIV/AIDS update, where renowned doctor Tony Mills fills us in on the huge amount of news and advancements that have already come up in 2010from new treatments to new defining goals within the movement.

Weve got the fitness angle covered, too, with our sports feature. Yep, gays and sports. The world of athletics is slowly breaking down long-held stereotypes, and as we found out its beginning in a rather unlikely sport: wrestling. Well also help keep your dating life healthy and vibrant this summer by showing you how your four-legged friend can help land you a man.

Plus, Kylie Minogue is back (both in the issue and online!) with Instinct this month as she takes over the Soapbox and talks about her hot new album. Youll burn calories just getting through all that! So, stretch it out and go pick up the new July/August issue of Instinct!
