CALLING ALL FAMILIES make the world play more!LEKAR is a great application from IKEA which encourages parents and children to play more together. LEKAR, meaning games in Swedish, provides a variety of games from around the world, designed for parents to play actively with their children. The games are given a modern edge thanks to their customisation for iPhone and iPod Touch.
The LEKAR application was inspired by the findings in Playreport, the worlds largest international research project about play and its affect on family life initiated by IKEA.
One of the most common concerns that parents expressed in the study is the lack of ideas for game-play with their children, so IKEA designed the LEKAR application to make it easy and fun for parents and children to play in their own homes.
