Note: While the American Express Selects App is available globally, it currently only features local merchant offers in South Africa. However, we plan to add the following countries over the next few months: Turkey, Korea, Brazil, Switzerland, Malaysia plus many more in the second half of 2010.


Get local Cardmember offers with the American Express Selects App for the iPhone and iPod touch (all versions). Now you can access valuable offers on dining, shopping, entertainment and travel all from your phone when you need them the most.

Walking down the street and feeling a bit hungry? Yes, the caf down the street may suffice, but your Selects App might show you that theres another caf just around the block that offers 15% savings for American Express Cardmembers.

Buying a pair of jeans at a local shop? Before you join the queue, check your Selects App to see if there is a store nearby with any discounts for American Express Cardmembers. There just may be one a few blocks away with the same pair of jeans for 15% less.

You can view offers according to the four main categories (dining, entertainment, travel or shopping) or, simply select Nearby Offers and see whats around you. And, since our offers are created by local merchants, you can be sure that you are getting offers that are relevant to you as you use your Card as a part of your daily activities.

Enjoy hassle free redemption. In most cases, savings are taken right off your billing statement. Otherwise, you can give the promotion codes to the person at the register when paying for your items.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

If you are traveling and happen to be traveling to one of the countries where the Selects App features local offers, you can benefit from their local discounts as well. If you download the App before you leave on your trip, most of the functionality will work without an internet connection. Or, if you download the App or intend to use the GPS or email functionality while in another country, we suggest you do so using WiFi connections since data roaming charges can be very expensive.

ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES AND CARDS

The American Express Selects iPhone App is available to all American Express Cardmembers. However, due to the phased roll out of this App globally, the Selects iPhone App only features merchants in South Africa. We plan to add the following countries over the next few months: Turkey, Korea, Brazil, Switzerland, Malaysia plus many more in the second half of 2010.
