App Description

Hooplytics 2010 simulates college basketball games between any two of 347 Division One teams from the 2009-2010 season. Over 5000 unique statistical player profiles are used to simulate games on a play-by-play basis. Any two schools can be pitted against each other - daily schedule updates are provided to make it easy to simulate upcoming games.

Team lineups, player minute distribution and expected game pace are essential and defaults for these are also provided, but can also be edited to account for injuries or other personnel changes. Once these are set a quick tap sets the simulation engine roaring into action. Real time data is displayed accounting for Win Percentages, scoring averages, Highs and Low games - a wealth of boxscore data is also available for review.

Users may also set criteria for Big Win and Close Win and Hooplytics will keep a tally of this data as well.

A Simulation Cycle is one thousand games and it takes about a minute on an IPhone 3GS. A cycle can be paused at any time to review current data and recent boxscores. It can be halted at any time as well - lineups, pace, Big/Close Win definitions can be changed and another Sim Cycle run.

Key boxscores from the current cycle, such as high and low scores by each team and overall high and low point totals are retained through the life of the cycle - pausing the cycle allows inspection of the last ten sim boxscores.

Requires OS 3.0
