Great app (****)
Really good for learning the general groups of words swell as testing yourself once you've learnt them. I've spent a whole day gradually working my way through the list and it really helps. Also, I use it in small doses just to refresh myself every now and then, it works great both ways.

Finally, an app for adults... (*****)
I'm quite fluent in French, but as a non-native speaker, the area where I make the most mistakes is in gender; this app gives me a chance to practice that. It's well organized and fun to play, and the pink and blue icons are a nice touch. The developer seems committed and truly interested in fine tuning the app. I have several of the Erasmos apps in different languages, and I believe they're well worth the price.

What's the easiest way to know the gender of nearly any French noun - even if you've never seen it before? Look at its ending.

This app presents 66 key noun ending patterns, each of which has a typical gender plus all of its known exceptions, however rare the word may be;
it's divided into a Reference and a Practice section.

* Contains over 1400 nouns, each of which may be spoken in the gender-specific voice.

* Use the Reference section where each pattern tells its typical gender as well as listing both a good number of sample nouns that follow this pattern, as well
as all known exceptions.
