App Description

ARTvent is a series of three iPhone advent calendars showcasing the works of German artists, each with a different theme. We have put this calendar together as a tribute to art, the artists and you as the viewer who gives your own meaning to their work. This version features the works of Alexandra Staszewski.

Each day a candle will be lightened click on it to open the photo of the day.

After December 24, you will have full access to all pictures (or just change the system date to dec. 24th if you cannot wait).

You are free to use these images as wallpapers. To do so, just make a screenshot of a photo:

- Press the HOME-Button while holding down the POWER-Button

- The picture will be saved in your library. From there you can assign it as wallpaper.


About the artist:

Alexandra Staszewski lives in Germany. In her art, she juxtaposes art and nature in various media. She is dedicated to the depiction of urbanized landscapes as an artificial reflection of nature itself.

Her works show the retransformation of urbanized cultures into nature.

The contrast of impressions of nature and industrial sceneries reflects the ambivalency of life in a Metropole in a melancholical and sensitive way.
