App Description

The supermarket carries fresh tarragon, but you don’t know what to do with it in the kitchen? You are on a Spanish street market and want to know what “cilantro” is? No problem when you have the “Herbs and Condiments” App!

This App is indispensible for all gourmets who enjoy working in the kitchen with herbs and seasonings. With this program you have an informative consumer report with around 250 of the most important herbs, seasonings and condiments in Europe available, whether you are at home, in a restaurant or out shopping: all in text and pictures.

Editor Michael Ditter and food journalist Ingeborg Pils now offer “Herbs and Condiments”: a new form of consumer guide for food that includes translation assistance.

Dictionary and Consumer Report
The program contains the names of about 250 herbs, seasonings and spicy ingredients (focusing on Europe) in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, including scientific names.

When you enter in the name of a herb or seasoning in one of the five given languages, you will get a short and precise description of the most important information regarding this product and its preparation or use in the kitchen.

The text is accompanied by one or more photos per entry.

Culinary Advisor
The Star system from 1 to 5 shows in one instant, which enjoyment value that a food product has in Europe. The highest rating is given to those products which are unique – due to taste, quality and/or the type of production.

Search functions
You can search in “Herbs and Condiments” by product name or chapter.

The program runs offline.

Attention, buyers of our “Food Guide”: The content of this app is identical to the chapters “Herbs and Seasonings”, “Condiments”, “Seasoned Sauces and Pastes”, “Sweeteners” and “Pickled Vegetables and Chutneys” from our Food Guide!

Please also consider our “Food Guide”, a multilanguage dictionary and consumer guide, which contains 1,750 common foods, sorted by chapters.
