Real Foosball is a foosball soccer simulation game developed for the Iphone and Ipod Touch. Physics is applied extensively to provide a highly realistic simulation from a real world perspective. The ball acts according to the laws of physics and moves at different speeds and in any direction depending on the amount of force applied when hitting the ball and the position of contact between the player and the ball. The ball can even come to a stop if there is insufficient momentum.

With skill and experience the ball can be controlled, as with a real foosball game, such as slowed down, stopped, passed forward, backwards and sideways by using touch control and/or motion control (accelerometer). The computer plays the game much like a human does, the AI part sees and hits the ball, much like a human player, and has no control over the physics.

Multiple user control options allow:
- multiple rods to be moved at the same time
- one or more rods can be locked in its current position
- touch and/or motion (iphone accelerometer) can be used to move the rods
- different camera views allow the game to be viewed, while playing, from different angles

The buttons in the game require a double tap gesture to respond.

As the game is in 3D, to precisely determine when its best to hit the ball, in the perspective views there is a stippled black line under the user controlled rods (black players). The best time to hit the ball is when the ball is on the line or just after the line to hit forward, or just behind to hit backwards.

A number of features are under development and will be available soon:
- Multi-player over wifi/bluetooth. From 2 up to possibly 8 players (one rod per player)
- In game voice over wifi
- Web based leader boards, so you can gauge your skill against other players. Scoring will be based not only on winning, but time to win, maximum speed of ball, moves, etc.
