Learn to Talk is an innovative audio flash card application that facilitates language development in one to three year-old children. It uses both sight and sounds to teach toddlers basic vocabulary and early language skills.

Over 160 highly interactive, colorful flash cards engage and motivate toddlers to learn by themselves. For each lesson, your little one simply needs to swipe with her/his fingers to the left for the next card to appear or swipe to the right to go back one. As she/he flips through the cards, your child listens to, repeats and learn the words and phrases.

At home, in the car, on an airplane or in a grocery store, these unique flash cards keep your kids engaged, entertained and bring hours of enjoyment and educational benefits. And you will never have to sort a deck of flash cards again!

This program is designed to systematically enhance your child’s acquisition of a first or second language beginning at the earliest levels of language acquisition. Whether learning English as a first or second language this innovative program is designed for use with:

- Typically developing toddlers
- Dual language learners
- Children with specific language impairments:
- Receptive or Expressive Language Delay
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Neurological Disorders
- Delays Due to Multiple Language Acquisition
- Hard of Hearing

Designed and tested by a nationally certified speech pathologist with over 30 years experience working with speech and language development, this program uses prompts similar to flash cards, but the words are written, spoken and illustrated to better facilitate organized modeling and development of vocabulary and early word combinations.

As a parent you lead your child through the natural hierarchy of communicative intent, beginning with high impact words,
expanding meaning by changing intonation of speech, adding vocabulary including nouns, and verbs, and then developing early syntax, simple combinations of words.

This early deck includes early building blocks of nouns, verbs and two term combinations: action-object such as "kiss baby" or agent-action such as "daddy walk."

The natural progression for the initial deck in this application is as follows:

- Acquire initial exclamations or comfort words - we call these high impact words.
- Acquire approximately 50 labels.
- Learn approximately 10 action verbs.
- Next develop these single word utterances by expanding intonation patterns to express a variety of intents with a single word.
- Syntax and grammar emerge as the child begins to combine 2-3 words, and seek to expand their communicative ability.

As your child masters one and two word combinations, turn the sounds off and switch to Shuffle mode so that they can practice language production independently, relying on language processing and formulation skills.

As your child progresses and is ready to expand their vocabulary and linguistic combinations, look for our additional upcoming language decks to expand your use of this application.
