What's New

Introducing the new Inspire, version 4.0. New UI
● All of the menus and graphics of the user interface have been redesigned, giving the entire app a brand new, modern look

● New and improved app icon and splash screen

New Painting Engine
● Our new Sorceryβ„’ painting engine was built entirely from scratch, in-house
● Based on OpenGL and takes full advantage of the GPU on all iPhones
● Renders brush strokes with brilliant 64-bit color, laser-sharp sub-pixel precision and incredibly fast speed

New Brushes
● Sorceryβ„’ has allowed us to expand the number of brushes in the app from 5 to 70
● The new brushes are divided into 7 sets: Oil Paint, Airbrushes, Basic Shapes, Graphite Pencils, Wax Crayons, Markers and Chalk
● The 5 original Oil Paint brushes you love are still there, with the addition of 5 new ones to round out the set quite nicely
● All new brushes can be used as a Wet Brush, Dry Brush or Eraser
● Browse the new Inspire Shop and take a look at 60 more available brushes, divided into 6 sets: Complex Shapes, Paint Splatter, Spray Paint, Shape Outlines, Charcoal and Patterns

New Brush Settings
● The versatility of Sorceryβ„’ has also allowed us to expand the available brush settings and create a new Stroke menu with 6 different categories
● A new Glaze setting allows brush strokes to be painted with a uniform opacity
● A new Scatter setting offsets each application of paint throughout a brush stroke in a random direction from the original path
● 4 new Random settings allow full randomization of brush size and rotation throughout a stroke
● 22 paint blending modes use different mathematical equations to calculate new canvas colors based on existing canvas colors and the current paint color

Canvas Playback Video Recording
● Brush strokes are now automatically recorded as you paint without any loss of speed
● You can play the video of your artwork being created stroke-by-stroke directly in the gallery
● A Canvas Playback video can be exported to your Photos, Email, iTunes Documents or Dropbox
● Exported videos are always high quality 1080p, regardless of the chosen canvas size or orientation

Pressure Sensitive Stylus Support
● Wacom Intuos Creative 1 and 2 as well as the Bamboo Fineline
● Adonit Jot Touch 4 and Pixelpoint
● Ten One Design Pogo Connect 1 and 2
● HEX3 Jaja
● Stylus buttons can be used to undo and redo

Quick Change
● New support for 3 finger pan gestures to quickly change brush size (up or down) and opacity/dry brush pressure (left or right) without opening any menus
● Use 3 fingers to invoke the Quick Change then use only one finger anywhere on the screen to make precise adjustments to the current brush

Canvas Control
● The canvas can now be rotated at any angle while painting using a two finger rotate gesture
● Canvas rotation can be turned on and off from the Options β€” it is on by default
● Zooming in and out on the canvas is now a lot smoother and reacts to pinch velocity as well as distance

Dropbox Support
● Export your artwork as an image (PNG or JPEG), video (MP4) or Inspire file to Dropbox
● You can browse through all of the folders in your entire Dropbox with ease using an enhanced file browser with full path navigation and tight online integration

●●●
Please note that your old artwork is not compatible with this new version and although we export them to your iTunes Documents folder and Photos for you on startup, if you like, you should export and back-up your artwork yourself before updating

App Description

Available exclusively on the App Store, meticulously designed using the beautiful new features of iOS 8 and painstakingly engineered for the 64-bit CPU and quad-core GPU of the iPhone 6 β€” Inspire delivers an incredibly fast and realistic painting, drawing and sketching experience that you can take with you wherever you go and use whenever inspiration strikes.

Our proprietary painting engine Sorceryβ„’, based on OpenGL, takes full advantage of the GPU to render brush strokes with brilliant 64-bit color, laser-sharp sub-pixel precision and insanely fast speed. While the strokes of a wet oil paint brush look beautiful on their own, the breathtaking blending effects of a dry brush will absolutely stun you. Graze the canvas with a tiny bit of pressure to add a subtle blur to your artwork or use stronger pressure to actually mix existing colors on the canvas together to create new ones.

With no instruction manual or handbook required, whether you are a beginner, expert or somewhere in-between, you will enjoy the simplicity and power of the most intuitive and compelling illustration app for iPhone, Inspire.
