How fast can you pick out real archaic words from made up words? How many will you get right (in a row) before your game ends? Dead Words is a dastardly puzzler game for word lovers, designed to be played anywhere ... for a minute at a time or an hour.

Correctly identify real English words. The game contains almost 1,900 words that were common in the 1700s1800s. We referenced dictionaries and word sources to develop a list of devilishly difficult and odd-sounding words.

In addition to real words, there are hundreds of words that we created specifically for Dead Words. You will need a good mind and a sharp knowledge of the English language to spot the real words from the fakes.

Score is determined by how many words you correctly identify in a row. At the end of game your best score to date is saved and displayed on the menu screen of the game.
