Our Rating: ★★★★½ :: CALENDAR OF YOUR DREAMS :: Read Our Full Review >>

CalenGoo is a Google Calendar app for power users—jammed packed with features, it gives you offline access, a ton of views, Tasks control, seamless syncing, and a ton of other great stuff. If you're a heavy GCal user, this is the app you need.

What's New

- Floating events have been implemented. Floating events are a combination of tasks and events. They are like a normal event but they have a checkbox to mark them as completed. When CalenGoo finds an uncompleted floating event in the past, it will automatically move it to the current day so that you don't forget to complete it. To use floating events you have to turn "Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Enable 'Floating events'" on. Then you can mark individual events as floating in the edit view.
- You can now attach files to events and sync them via Google Drive. First you have to enable it under "Settings", "Attachments". Afterward there will be an additional button at the end of the edit view to add attachments. You can open and view attachments from the detail view and the edit view. Attachments can be photos from the camera or the gallery and you can create PDF files from multiple photos (e.g. to create a scan from a document). When you add attachments to an event, CalenGoo will create a folder in Google Drive for that event. But you can also attach other Google Drive folders and files.
- The calendars can now be reordered under "Settings", "Visibility/Download", "Sort calendars".
- A sync button can be displayed to the left of the "+" button in the upper right corner (only iPhone/iPod touch: "Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Sync button to the left of the [+] button")
- New snap-in options for new events in the landscape day view: E.g. when setting "Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Landscape day view (week)", "New events snap in to x minutes" to "45 min (align to previous event)" then new events will be aligned to 45 minute steps beginning from the previous event of that day. This is useful if you assign events in 45 minutes slots and have e.g. a lunch break.
- Bug fixes

App Description

CalenGoo gives you a fast and easy way to access and modify your Google Calendar with your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. It can also be used when you have no internet connection, using the cached data. Changes are saved and uploaded the next time you are connected.

The calendar view is similar to the web view of Google Calendar. Events are displayed using the same calendar colors that you use in your Google Calendar. It also recognizes which calendars are visible and which are hidden. So the view should match the view of your Google Calendar as much as possible.

CalenGoo also has a month view similar to that of Google Calendar. It can be zoomed and panned to quickly get an overview over the events of a month. Zooming the month is done by using the two-finger-zoom gesture that you know from Safari and the photo application. A double tap opens the tapped day.

It also works with your recurring events and even when you are offline or scroll far into the future, they are correctly displayed.

You can also use Google Calendar's feature to invite people to events and see their status (accepted, declined, maybe, no answer). They will get an invitation email with links to e.g. accept or decline the invitation.

Google Calendar has an integrated task list, called Google Tasks. Tasks with a due date are displayed on the corresponding days of the calendar. CalenGoo can do the same, it can sync this list, display your tasks in the calendar views and in a list view and it even makes your tasks available offline. You can edit and add tasks and the changes will be synced with Google Tasks.

You need a (free) Google Calendar account to use this program! If you have problems to log in with CalenGoo, please make sure that at least one event is in your calendar.

If you have any problems or suggestions, please send an email to calengoo@dgunia.de! It is technically impossible to reply to reviews, you need to write an email or take a look at CalenGoo's support website to get help.

If you think the font is too small and hard to read, you can increase the font size of all calendar views in the settings under "Settings", "Colors etc.".

If you have problems with the speed, please contact me, then I can examine the problem and try to improve it. CalenGoo is always tested with a Google Calendar account with four years of events (several thousand events) on an old iPod Touch and an iPhone 3G. Especially on new iPods and the iPhone 3GS speed should not be an issue, but also on older devices it should be usable and not be too slow. Please contact me under calengoo@dgunia.de.
